Micro-weddings are all about intimacy, intention, and making your day uniquely yours, and Adrianna and Scott’s celebration in Cherokee, North Carolina, was just that! They chose a cozy Airbnb with jaw-dropping mountain views, exchanged heartfelt vows, and celebrated with just 16 of their closest loved ones. If you’re dreaming of a small, meaningful wedding, their day might just inspire you.
Adrianna and Scott’s day started with them getting ready separately in the Airbnb. It was a mix of excitement and anticipation as they prepared for their “first touch”—a sweet, private moment where they held hands around a corner without seeing each other. It’s a perfect way to share a little intimacy without breaking tradition.
Their ceremony was held outdoors, overlooking the mountains as the sun began to set, creating the perfect backdrop. They incorporated a foot-washing ceremony, a beautiful symbol of their love and dedication to one another. Afterward, we took some breathtaking sunset photos with their dog, who was a big part of their day (and stole the show in some of the pictures!). Their intimate reception followed, with homemade limoncello for their guests and dancing under the moonlight. It was such a magical way to end their celebration.
Adrianna and Scott are vintage lovers at heart. Their wedding day had a dreamy, old-world European vibe that they pulled together beautifully. They spent months thrifting items to match the theme, giving their wedding a unique, personal feel that made it all the more special. From the vintage glassware to the table settings, every detail was thoughtfully chosen and full of character.
It’s a great reminder that your wedding doesn’t have to be filled with expensive, over-the-top details. Thrifting together made the planning process fun and meaningful for them, and it added so much charm to their day.
One thing that stood out about Adrianna and Scott’s wedding was how intentional they were with the details. They hired a private chef to create an intimate, restaurant-quality meal for their guests—no buffet lines or catered trays here! Adrianna’s dress was another highlight; it was handmade, adding an extra layer of meaning to her bridal look. They also had a foot washing ceremony which was so unique and meaningful for them.
And of course, we can’t forget their dog, who was included in both the ceremony and the photos. I always love when couples involve their pets—it makes the day feel even more personal and fun!
Adrianna and Scott chose their Airbnb in Cherokee because of the unbeatable mountain views and the cozy, intimate setting. It was the perfect size to accommodate their closest family members, and the outdoor space was ideal for both their ceremony and sunset photos. If you’re planning a micro-wedding in North Carolina, finding a venue like this can make all the difference. Not only does it give you a comfortable space to prepare and host your loved ones, but it also offers a stunning backdrop for your photos.
